‘daydreams painted on a prairie sky : a meditation on beauty‘
acrylic on canvas 7′ x 8′
For me this painting has always been about flying, ascending, the energies of both arriving and leaving, at the same time somehow – lately however I have come to see it as a portal – an entrance – an empty space teaming with energy taking us to unknown places.
Solstices, according to many ancient wisdom tradtions are when portals open and the veils between worlds are thin and available to us.
I share it now as an invitation to enter this new season.
This winter solstice marks significant shifts in the world. There is no doubt that the world is changing – ‘resistence is futile’ – people and planets, land and water, weather and wildlife, rearranging, recalibrating –
Acknowledging the shift, taking part in it from a conscious place, a place of meaningful intention and doing my bit in creating a more altruistic, coherent and peaceful world.
So here’s to the best of the season of light –
making meaningful moments and heartfelt connections –
If there was ever a time that accentuated our inalienable interconnectedness it is now –
Covid constraints have meant virtual visiting – connected even if we can’t be together – sharing the love across the world wide web.
To those of you that I know and to those of you that I don’t –
thank you for showing up and showing interest –
I’m grateful.
Feeling empathy and compassion for fellow travellers on this unpredictable journey of life –
Omming you
peace, peace, and more peace

I leave you with this winter solstice ‘hai’ lights piece that I created in my backyard back in 2017, when the weather derailed the original installation.
